History Tour

McRaven was built in 3 time periods, but as each section was added, the previous wasn't updated. This resulted in National Geographic naming McRaven the "Time Capsule of the South". This 45-minute guided history tour gives you an in-depth history of the house, the families, the time periods, and all the antiques in the home. Feel free to ask your certified history guide any questions! Families are welcome, as each tour is geared toward the specific interests of the guests during that tour! History tours are given Sunday: 1-5pm, Monday-Thursday: 12:00pm-5pm, Friday 12:00pm - 5pm 7pm - 8:30pm Saturday: 10am - 5pm 7pm - 8:30pm.
Haunted Tour
Adult & Student: $25 | Five and Under: Free
The 1 hour and 15-minute Haunted Tour led by a theatrical guide in time period costume gives you a brief history of the families before diving into ghost stories - from a pioneer pirate, the death of a young bride, the Siege of Vicksburg, and the strange ways of our spinster sisters. Learn the stories of those who once called McRaven their home, but now choose to reside here in the afterlife, resulting in McRaven being named "Mississippi's Most Haunted House". Haunted tours are offered on Friday, Saturday, & Sunday nights at 7 and 8:30pm. (Weeknight Haunted Tours may be arranged for groups of 4 or more.)
TOURS
Combination Tour

McRaven is known as the "Time Capsule of the South" and "Mississippi's Most Haunted House". We offer history and haunted tours to satisfy any interest, but for the best of both worlds, purchase our combination tour! This will give you both tours at a discount. The tours can be taken the same day, or separate.
History tours are given Sunday: 1-5pm, Monday-Thursday: 12:00pm-5pm, Friday-Saturday: 10am-5pm. Haunted Tours are given Friday, Saturday, & Sunday nights at 7pm and 8:30pm.
Candlelight Tour
Adult & Student: $25 | Five and Under: Free
Special Candlelight Tours will be given during the month of October.
Starting at 7PM, 6:45PM for large crowds, each room in McRaven will host a different character from McRaven's past, dressed in period attire, and will tell their story in the first person.

Ghost Hunt
$75 per person
Each month McRaven sponsors a public Ghost Hunt. Guests are invited to take the 8:30pm McRaven Haunted Tour, 8:45 if it's a busy night and learn about the spirits at McRaven. Then after the Haunted Tour guests leave, you're invited to stay as late as 2:00am to learn and use our Ghost Hunting equipment. Just like you see on some of the paranormal shows, except the equipment is in your hands and you get to ask the questions. We offer light refreshments around mid-night. While we can't guarantee the spirits will be active, you'll have fun in this smaller group setting. Limit to 18 tickets so the group can be broken into two small groups in the house.
